Siobhán Sleath

Siobhán is a Toronto-based Lighting Designer with credits in Theatre, Opera and Dance.

Over the past few years, her work has been seen in Canada, The United States, South Korea, India, Sweden, Australia and the Czech Republic. In Canada and the US she has been a Lighting Designer for: Stratford Festival, Shaw Festival, Canadian Opera Company, Grand Theatre, Arkansas Rep, Theatre Aquarius, Neptune Theatre, Alberta Theatre Projects, Drayton Entertainment, Thousand Island Playhouse, Adirondack Theatre Festival, Globe Theatre, Young People’s Theatre, Buddies in Bad Times and Theatre Passe Muraille. She has long relationships with multiple dance companies and has been the Lighting Designer for Anandam Dancetheatre since 2005. With Anandam, Siobhán has helped tour her Lighting Designs for Ephemeral Artifacts: Travis Knights to numerous festivals around the world.

Siobhán was the Associate Lighting Designer for Come From Away (Toronto) and Sousatzka: The Musical (Teatro Proscenium) Jukebox Hero (Annerin Productions) and La Traviata (COC). She has been an Assistant Lighting Designer for one season at San Francisco Opera, two seasons at the COC and five seasons at the Stratford Festival on twenty productions including: To Kill a Mockingbird, Twelfth Night, The Tempest, Cyrano de Bergerac and Dangerous Liaisons. In 2010, she executed the lighting design of Kiss Me, Kate on the Festival Stage. In 2014 Siobhán was nominated for a Pauline McGibbon Award.
