Tristan Pritham
Tristan Pritham is a versatile bass with a strong foundation in both operatic and musical theater repertoire. Originally from Montana, he developed his passion for performing by working with Opera Montana and learned to develop his vocal technique with Linda Curtis. Now based in Vermont, he is completing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at McGill University, studying under renowned baritone Brett Polegato.
During his undergraduate studies, Pritham has been a featured performer with Opera McGill, showcasing his affinity for operatic and early music. Most recently, he debuted his first Baroque role as Argenio in Handel’s Imeneo, under the direction of former Glimmerglass musical staff and Opera McGill director Patrick Hansen. He has benefited from the wide range of repertoire Opera McGill has offered, with varying unique experiences in musical theater, oratorio, and classic opera.
Also an experienced concert performer, Tristan has recently performed in Schubert’s Tantum Ergo D962, Mozart’s Mozart’s Missa Brevis KV 192, and premiered the debut of TAX Opera by Canadian composer Rebecca Gray. He also performs regularly as a chorister for the St. Mattias Church of Westmount, Quebec, where he has performed as a cantor and soloist for the church. His favorite roles include Signor Naccarelli in The Light in the Piazza and Leporello in Don Giovanni.
